Police Communication and Information Technology Department

Police Communication and Information Technology Department is the technical wing of the Police and is working under the Supervision of Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters-2.

Police Communication and Information Technology Department provides 24 hours communication and Information Technology System to the Policemen of the Police Commissionerate to maintain Law and Order. For other technical needs of the Police force the assistance of the Police Communication and Information Technology Department is sought and coordination with other departments providing technical services is coordinated through the Police Communication and Information Technology Department for smooth technical service availability to the Police force. In short it acts as backbone for the Police force in terms of Technical (Communication and IT) needs.

The CCTV System in Thane Police Commissionerate is working under the Police Communication and Information Technology Department and the updating of the Website of Thane Police Force is done under Police Communication and Information Technology Department.
