To strengthen public trust in the police force and increase transparency and awareness about the functioning of the police, Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA), Thane District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Global Care Foundation, Mumbai are organizing a public outreach initiative titled “Visit My Police Station”. The aim of the programme is to bridge the gap between citizens and the police by encouraging residents to visit their respective police stations in an open, welcoming and interactive environment. The initiative will dispel misconceptions, increase trust in the police and create awareness about legal aid services and citizens’ rights.
