On behalf of the Thane Police Commissionerate, under the ‘Road Safety Campaign 2026’, the innovative initiative ‘Traffic School on Wheels’ has been launched, where ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’ is not merely a slogan, but a responsibility connected to the life of every citizen. The importance of traffic rules should be instilled in the minds of citizens not merely out of fear of penalties, but for the safety of their own lives and those of others. For this purpose, ‘Traffic School on Wheels’, an initiative that takes traffic-related education directly to citizens, will use a mobile traffic school to provide students, vehicle drivers, professional drivers as well as the general public with modern guidance on traffic rules, safe driving behavior, the use of helmets and seat belts, speed limits, obeying signals, lane discipline as well as the serious consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol.
